The Junior section at Hamptworth Golf and Country Club is rapidly growing, Junior members are
appearing from all directions, eager to play golf. Some as young as four years old are walking onto
the fairways.
 
The Junior sessions are now so popular they are now running more than once a week. When Saturday
afternoon comes around the club becomes a hive of activity as the juniors buzz towards the practice facilities.
We are now seeing an excess of juniors that are itching to play golf, many of whom are girls, which is very
refreshing to see.

This year we have already had a very successful golfing Summer, with a jammed packed programme of
activities such as girls picnics, fun junior scrambles, skills sessions and our very successful Swing and
Serve, Golf and Tennis Camp, which over the weeks course saw juniors as young as 8 years old progress
to the stage where they were able to successfully compete in competitions organised for them.
 
We have our own Junior Tees half way down the each hole, providing the younger members with that added
boost of confidence to get out on the course and make pars and birdies, also allowing them to achieve a
handicap. The scores from this short course really reflect how much these tees are encouraging our future superstars.
