Course Renovation Update:

Bunkers
Stage one on all greenside bunkers has now been carried out, with the edging and shaping done.
The new drainage lines have been cut out with the outlet pipes exposed, flushed out and ready to
go.

Stage two will start next week with the installation of the new drainage pipes together with the new
sand. Once this is completed, the next stage is to finish pathways around the front nine. Creating a
continuous buggy path throughout. This will start with the completion of the 2nd path, followed by
the 7th path.

Hamptworth's Abba Night
With gale force winds and torrential rain causing a power cut from 12 noon until 4.30pm Abba Night at
Hamptworth did not look like it was going ahead. However, little did the club know that Mel and her team
could turn into mini whirlwinds and turn everything round making the venue extremely inviting ready for the
influx of dancing queens and kings alike.

When the doors opened at 7.00pm little did Hamptworth know it had its own Anni-Frid, Agnetha, Benny
and Bjorn.  Fancy dress was an option and the members and guests certainly did the club proud with many
dressing up either as Abba or in the era of Abba.

Food and wine flowed all night and the band “Abba Inferno” struck up their cords at around 9.30pm playing
on until midnight with a small break for refreshments.

The dance floor had never been so busy.

Have a look at the following photos just to confirm what a good night was had by all:

Due to the success of this night and by popular demand, keep an eye out for the next party night.
