New Forest Pilates
Pilates targets deep postural stabilising muscles and re-educates the body to move
properly. Pelvic
and spinal stability are essential to keeping the body strong, controlled
and hopefully
pain free.
Rehabilitation
Pilates can complement a physical rehabilitation programme but cannot replace it. New Forest Pilates has the
benefit
of
working with physiotherapist Kerry Williams at Hamptworth Golf & Country Club enabling us to
provide sound advice and an
appropriate
exercise regime for each individual client. If you
are concerned about
any
physical injuries
or have not been
active for some time you will
need to seek medical advice before you
take up
pilates.
Serious Sports
Improved core stability, focus and correct body movement patterns will compliment and
enhance any
sports
training programme.
General Fitness and Wellbeing
The eight principles of Pilates - Relaxation, concentration, stability, flowing movements,
centering,
breathing,
co-ordination, alignment. all contribute to your improved fitness and
sense of wellbeing. You
will be more
mobile, stronger, have improved posture and a
flatter stomach. Pilates is suitable for any
age and any ability.
All new clients will be
asked to have at least one 1:1 session before joining a class
in order to assess current
movement ability and to teach the basic technique required to practise Pilates.

1:1 £35 per hour
1:2 £40 per hour
Classes - classes run in blocks of six one hour lessons.
A six week course costs £45
payable in advance.
