Welcome to the newest addition to Hamptworth Golf & Country Club, now offering state-of-the-art Pickleball courts. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned player, our courts are open to everyone for fun and social racket sports in a stunning countryside setting.

Pickleball in the New Forest
We’ve launched five competition grade Pickleball courts, designed to the highest standards.
Courts are open 7 days a week, from 7am until 9pm (or sunset). Balls and paddles are available for hire during golf clubhouse between 8am and 6pm.
The court hire fee is £12 per hour (£3pp)

What app do I need to book?
We use the Playtomic app for court bookings.
This is available both via the Apple Store and Google Play.
Click on the appropriate badge for your phone below to download the app.
If you have an iPhone
If you have an Android phone (Samsung, Huawei, Google or similar)
How do I book?
1. Open Playtomic on your phone
2. Select Book a court
3. Search for either Hamptworth or the postcode SP5 2DU
4. Select Pickleball from available sports. The app may default to showing Padel on the first navigation.
5. Find a slot and book!
Where can I find the training courses and social events?
In Playtomic head over to the club’s page and then go to the Academy section
Note that the app will default to showing classes for all sports. You can filter for only Padel or Pickleball by selecting All Sports
I've never played before, can I join?
Yes! Pickleball is extremely beginner-friendly. Please note that court or tennis shoes are essential for safe play, as running shoes can increase the risk of ankle injuries due to the nature of the sport.
For the beginner friendly sessions paddles will be provided. They are also available to rent from the Clubhouse if you take part in an organised match.
What happens if I need to cancel a booking?
Cancellation is done through the Playtomic app. You will be refunded the full amount including any Playtomic app fees. Matches and courses may have a time threshold after which you won’t be able to cancel so it’s worth checking these in advance.
Can children play pickleball?
Yes. Pickleball is suitable for children and families.
Where can I learn the rules before I play?
You don’t need to study the rules first — the coach or organiser will guide you. But if you want a head start you can reference either this overview or the official rulebook
